Pre-requisites for Using Zaple

Before you start using Zaple's WhatsApp Business API platform, make sure you have everything ready. Here's a complete checklist of what you'll need.

  • ✓ A valid phone number that can receive SMS or calls
  • ✓ Meta Business Account (formerly Facebook Business Manager)
  • ✓ Valid business documents for verification
  • ✓ Business website with privacy policy

1. Phone Number Requirements

You'll need a phone number that:

  • Is not currently registered with WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app
  • Can receive SMS or phone calls for verification
  • Is a business line (recommended) or a dedicated number
  • Has a country code that's supported by WhatsApp

⚠️ Important: If the number is already registered on WhatsApp, you'll need to delete that account before using it with Zaple.

2. Meta Business Account

A Meta Business Account (previously Facebook Business Manager) is required to access the WhatsApp Business API. To create one:

  1. Go to business.facebook.com
  2. Click Create Account in the top right corner
  3. Enter your business name, your name, and your work email address
  4. Submit the form and click the confirmation link sent to your email

Your Meta Business Account should have:

  • Admin access to the Business Manager
  • A verified business (or ready to be verified)
  • Connected Facebook Page

3. Business Documents

For Meta Business Verification, you'll need to submit one of the following:

  • Business license or registration certificate
  • GST registration certificate (for India)
  • Utility bill with business name and address
  • Tax document showing business name
  • Articles of incorporation

4. Business Website

Your business should have:

  • A live website with your business information
  • A privacy policy page (required by WhatsApp)
  • Contact information visible on the website
  • Domain email address (e.g., [email protected])

5. Display Name Requirements

Your WhatsApp Business display name must:

  • Represent your business or brand
  • Not include generic terms like "Customer Service"
  • Not violate WhatsApp's naming guidelines
  • Match or relate to your business name in documents
